Life of Thankful Prayer

Philippians 4:6-7: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Greetings!! For the day
The scripture in book of Philippians chapter 4 verse 6 to 7 states – Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Amen… what an Almighty God we Serve
When we are lost to the world and faced with many challenges, and main among them is anxiety in life, the best supporting scripture in the Bible is Philippians 4:6-7.
Going back to the historic events the book of Philippians tells us about St. Paul, Philippians was composed when Paul was in the prison and hence this becomes more encouraging as somebody in prison and suffering can composing only and only if someone is able to get relieved from anxiety.
Hence this encouragement of Paul in terrible situation gives us strength to think What a Mighty God we Serve………..Amen
Our faith is full of risks to modern world challenges as sometimes life can be terrifying. Paul was able to compose this wonderful work of God “The Book of Philippians” while he was in prison…… Oh my God we are blessed in several ways during the period when we come out with flying colors from life’s most challenging situations that could have just killed us. Most wonderful results after something worst in our life has passed may be a building a profitable business after losing everything , may finding a new job after a long layoff, may be finding a wonderful life partner after a distressed relationship.
If we read on further the book of Philippians is very encouraging as it tells us to “rejoice in the Lord,” but also to enact gentleness, make sacrifices for others and focus on “whatever is true” and “whatever is admirable.”
My friends we must know that God has vast amount of love for us and hence we should trust in all circumstances.
We must acknowledge and know we are not alone in times of anxiety and despair.
Well!! Well!! Well!!
So the Bible teaches us that when we are calling out to God in prayer for our supplies it also tells us how to pray.
Yes How to pray with Thanksgiving. So God cares for us, and hence while I pray for something new I should thank God for something old. We should meditate and cultivate a prayer habit of Gratitude and Faith. We should have a life of thankful prayer.
2 Corinthians 9:10: “Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.”
Let Us Pray-
Dear Heavenly Father, You know the times I have been ungrateful and held ill thoughts toward my fellow humans. You know the times I complain about life and its circumstances, about suffering, going through what seem endless trials and tribulations. I am thankful Lord for everything that You allowed to cross my path. I am Thankful for the decisions that You allow me to make and the lessons that come from these decisions.
Amen
