Be Strong and of Good Courage

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.

This promise though made at the time particularly to Israel and Joshua yet belongs to all believers.

This is an invitation to believe and follow God. Only when we believe in God and follow His leadership, we can be truly strong and courageous. The result and effect of sin is always weakness, confusion, strife and eventually death.

God is present everywhere, and this should encourage us in times of distress and keep us from sinning because He is always with us and watching us. 

God’s presence should be of great comfort to every born-again believer since no matter what level of the trial, the Lord is there. 

God is always with us to encourage and support our service to Him. When God called Moses to proclaim His message and lead Israel out of slavery, the Book of Exodus chapter 4 from verse 10 to 12 explains that Moses protested because of his lack of speaking abilities. But God said, “I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.”  

Jesus commands us, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations . . . and surely, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” If you feel that you are not strong and courageous, remember what God told Moses and what Jesus told His disciples. Bear in mind that as believers we have the same resources they had, which is the presence and power of God! 

Then Moses called Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel: Bringing the people into the Promised Land was God’s work. He was going to do it.

Well my friends remember that God always does His work through men and women who make themselves available to Him.

God uses encouraging people to help us fulfill the destiny He has for us.

The Song of Moses as in book of Deuteronomy chapter 32

“Give ear, O heavens, and let me speak;
And let the earth hear the words of my mouth.
“Let my teaching drop as the rain,
My speech distill as the dew,
As the droplets on the fresh grass
And as the showers on the herb.
“For I proclaim the name of the Lord;
Ascribe greatness to our God!
“The Rock! His work is perfect,
For all His ways are just;
A God of faithfulness and without injustice,
Righteous and upright is He.
“They have acted corruptly toward Him,
They are not His children, because of their defect;
But are a perverse and crooked generation.

Is not He your Father who has bought you?
He has made you and established you.
“Remember the days of old,
Consider the years of all generations.
Ask your father, and he will inform you,
Your elders, and they will tell you.
“When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance,
When He separated the sons of man,
He set the boundaries of the peoples
According to the number of the sons of Israel.
“For the Lord’s portion is His people;
Jacob is the allotment of His inheritance.
“He found him in a desert land,
And in the howling waste of a wilderness;
He encircled him, He cared for him,
He guarded him as the pupil of His eye.
“Like an eagle that stirs up its nest,
That hovers over its young,
He spread His wings and caught them,
He carried them on His pinions.
“The Lord alone guided him,
And there was no foreign god with him.
“He made him ride on the high places of the earth,
And he ate the produce of the field;
And He made him suck honey from the rock,
And oil from the flinty rock,
Curds of cows, and milk of the flock,
With fat of lambs,
And rams, the breed of Bashan, and goats,
With the finest of the wheat—
And of the blood of grapes you drank wine.

“But Jeshurun grew fat and kicked—
You are grown fat, thick, and sleek—
Then he forsook God who made him,
And scorned the Rock of his salvation.
“They made Him jealous with strange gods;
With abominations they provoked Him to anger.
“They sacrificed to demons who were not God,
To gods whom they have not known,
New gods who came lately,
Whom your fathers did not dread.
“You neglected the Rock who begot you,
And forgot the God who gave you birth.

“The Lord saw this, and spurned them
Because of the provocation of His sons and daughters.
“Then He said, ‘I will hide My face from them,
I will see what their end shall be;
For they are a perverse generation,
Sons in whom is no faithfulness.
‘They have made Me jealous with what is not God;
They have provoked Me to anger with their idols.
So I will make them jealous with those who are not a people;
I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation,
For a fire is kindled in My anger,
And burns to the lowest part of Sheol,
And consumes the earth with its yield,
And sets on fire the foundations of the mountains.

‘I will heap misfortunes on them;
I will use My arrows on them.
‘They will be wasted by famine, and consumed by plague
And bitter destruction;
And the teeth of beasts I will send upon them,
With the venom of crawling things of the dust.
‘Outside the sword will bereave,
And inside terror—
Both young man and virgin,
The nursling with the man of gray hair.
‘I would have said, “I will cut them to pieces,
I will remove the memory of them from men,”
Had I not feared the provocation by the enemy,
That their adversaries would misjudge,
That they would say, “Our hand is triumphant,
And the Lord has not done all this.”’

“For they are a nation lacking in counsel,
And there is no understanding in them.
“Would that they were wise, that they understood this,
That they would discern their future!
“How could one chase a thousand,
And two put ten thousand to flight,
Unless their Rock had sold them,
And the Lord had given them up?
“Indeed their rock is not like our Rock,
Even our enemies themselves judge this.
“For their vine is from the vine of Sodom,
And from the fields of Gomorrah;
Their grapes are grapes of poison,
Their clusters, bitter.
“Their wine is the venom of serpents,
And the deadly poison of cobras.

‘Is it not laid up in store with Me,
Sealed up in My treasuries?
‘Vengeance is Mine, and retribution,
In due time their foot will slip;
For the day of their calamity is near,
And the impending things are hastening upon them.’
“For the Lord will vindicate His people,
And will have compassion on His servants,
When He sees that their strength is gone,
And there is none remaining, bond or free.
“And He will say, ‘Where are their gods,
The rock in which they sought refuge?
‘Who ate the fat of their sacrifices,
And drank the wine of their drink offering?
Let them rise up and help you,
Let them be your hiding place!
‘See now that I, I am He,
And there is no god besides Me;
It is I who put to death and give life.
I have wounded and it is I who heal,
And there is no one who can deliver from My hand.
‘Indeed, I lift up My hand to heaven,
And say, as I live forever,
If I sharpen My flashing sword,
And My hand takes hold on justice,
I will render vengeance on My adversaries,
And I will repay those who hate Me.
‘I will make My arrows drunk with blood,
And My sword will devour flesh,
With the blood of the slain and the captives,
From the long-haired leaders of the enemy.’
“Rejoice, O nations, with His people;
For He will avenge the blood of His servants,
And will render vengeance on His adversaries,
And will atone for His land and His people.”

A gratidão por essas circunstâncias – mesmo quando cada dia traz novos desafios – nos ajuda a encontrar esperança e significado. Ele reconhece uma característica específica sobre uma pessoa que eleva sua estima. A gratidão por outra pessoa pode ser uma das maneiras mais impactantes e práticas em que podemos construir uma à outra.

Remercier Dieu en toutes circonstances

La Bible nous dit d’être “reconnaissant en tout et en toutes circonstances”. Être reconnaissant n’est pas juste pour la saison de Thanksgiving. Nous avons été bénis avec le don gratuit du salut et de la vie éternelle! Nous nous trouvons submergés par les fardeaux et inquiets pour demain, nous pouvons louer Dieu pour qui il est et sa promesse de ne jamais nous quitter ou nous abandonner.

La gratitude est un attendrisseur cardiaque. Cela garde nos yeux rivés sur Dieu, la source de tous les bons cadeaux. Il garde nos cœurs ouverts et, les cœurs ouverts, les fruits de l’Esprit – amour, joie, paix, patience, gentillesse, bonté, gentillesse et maîtrise de soi – ont tout le loisir de se développer.
Nous nous arrêtons pour remercier la nourriture, les membres de la famille et les amis se sont réunis autour de la table pour préparer des repas élaborés et naviguer entre parents.

La Bible nous montre que l’action de grâce est une réponse à Dieu, même quand il est silencieux, même quand nous n’en avons pas envie. Ce sacrifice d’action de grâce nous entraîne dans la présence du Seigneur.

Il y a aussi des moments où la vie ne semble pas être une saison de gratitude. Peut-être que vous avez une maladie chronique. Vous vous occupez peut-être d’un parent âgé ou d’un enfant ayant des besoins spéciaux. La gratitude pour ces circonstances – même lorsque chaque jour apporte de nouveaux défis – nous aide à trouver de l’espoir et un sens. Paul écrit à l’église de Rome: «Non seulement cela, mais nous nous glorifions aussi dans nos souffrances, car nous savons que la souffrance engendre la persévérance; persévérance, caractère; et caractère, espoir. Et l’espoir ne nous fait pas honte, parce que l’amour de Dieu a été répandu dans nos cœurs par le Saint-Esprit, qui nous a été donné ».

Gracias a Dios en todas las circunstancias

1 Tesalonicenses 5:18 dan gracias en todas las circunstancias; porque esta es la voluntad de Dios para ti en Cristo Jesús.

La Biblia nos dice que estemos “agradecidos en todo y en todas las circunstancias”. Ser agradecido no es solo por la temporada de Acción de Gracias. ¡Hemos sido bendecidos con el regalo gratuito de salvación y vida eterna! Nos encontramos abrumados por las cargas y preocupados por el mañana, podemos alabar a Dios por lo que es y su promesa de nunca dejarnos o abandonarnos.

La gratitud es un ablandador de corazón. Mantiene nuestros ojos enfocados en Dios, la fuente de todos los buenos dones. Mantiene nuestros corazones abiertos, y con los corazones abiertos, los frutos del Espíritu (amor, alegría, paz, paciencia, amabilidad, bondad, gentileza y dominio propio) tienen un amplio espacio para crecer.

¡¡Bien!! mis amigos, donde sea y cuando sea que se encuentren profundamente conectados con Dios, en la naturaleza, en una capilla, en su patio trasero, en meditación silenciosa, es una oportunidad de gratitud y agradecimiento.

Thank God In All Circumstances

1 Thessalonians 5:18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Bible tells us to be “thankful in everything and in all circumstances”. Being thankful isn’t just for the Thanksgiving Season. We have been blessed with the free gift of salvation and eternal life! We find ourselves overwhelmed with burdens and worried about tomorrow, we can praise God for who he is and his promise to never leave us or forsake us. 

Gratitude is a heart tenderizer. It keeps our eyes focused on God, the source of all good gifts. It keeps our hearts open, and with open hearts, the fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, and self-control—have ample room to grow.

We pause to give thanks for the food, family members and friends gathered around the table in the midst of preparing elaborate meals and navigating family relations.

The song of the sea is one of the oldest surviving texts describing the Exodus, possibly written as many as three thousand years ago. When something significant and big happens in our lives, it seems embedded in our DNA to celebrate with song. Songs become landmarks in our memory, resurrecting decades later and returning delight to our eyes, thanksgiving to our hearts.

In times of uncertainty, it may seem strange to turn to gratitude, but think about it: when else do we need to rely on God most except when faced with the unknown? Mary’s song, recorded after her encounter with her cousin Elizabeth, is a perfect example of the kind of praise we can give when the future looks uncertain. For being pregnant out of wedlock, Mary could have been shunned. Mary could have been cast out by her family. Mary could have been condemned to death. And yet Mary gives thanks for this new thing, this unexpected gift. 

Over and over again, the psalms show us what it means to be thankful, even in times of fear, sadness, and grief. Gratitude draws our eyes away from the pain, terror, and anxiety of loss and helps us focus on the gifts of this world, moving us forward along the healing process. Example of Job- After he loses his family, his wife, his property, and his health, Job, the sufferer of sufferers, cries out, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.”

Sometimes God feels distant or silent. When this happens in our lives, the full emotions of joy, empathy, grief, and anger seem to level out to monotony, routine, and boredom. If God seems distant, the desire to praise him and give thanks for the routine just isn’t as exciting as the other seasons, when things are good, life is full, and joy is easy. The Bible shows us thanksgiving as a response to God, even when he’s silent, even when we don’t feel like it. This sacrifice of thanksgiving — drags us into the presence of the Lord. 

There are also times when life just doesn’t seem like a season for gratitude. Maybe you have a chronic illness. Maybe you’re caring for an elderly parent or a special needs child. Thankfulness for these circumstances – even when each day brings fresh challenges — helps us to find hope and meaning. Paul writes to the church in Rome, “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us”.

Gratitude collectively as a family or a community is a tremendous equalizer — when differences of political or religious or cultural opinion and stance are present, gratitude helps us to focus on the areas of our relationships that matter the most. 

There’s something about expressing your gratitude for a person — not just saying thank you when they do something, but saying thank you for just being — that forms a bond of trust in your relationship. It acknowledges a particular characteristic about a person that raises their esteem. Gratitude for another person may be one of the most impacted and practical ways we can build one another up.

Well!!  my friends wherever and whenever you find yourself deeply connected to God — in nature, in a chapel, in your backyard, in silent meditation — is an opportunity for gratitude and thankfulness.

For His Glory

Бог дал замечательное обещание Павлу; и Бог дает то же обещание всем нам через Писание. Это ясно говорит о том, что мы не должны зависеть от своих собственных ресурсов, например, их силы, навыков, интеллекта или денег.
 
Нам нужно это обещание, потому что наши собственные ресурсы могут потерпеть неудачу. Даже самый сильный человек может быстро стать слабым. Умный человек может не знать, что делать. Богатый человек может потерять свои деньги. Здоровый человек может заболеть.
 
Однако Божья благодать (доброта) никогда не подведет. В любой ситуации его доброта полностью удовлетворяет нас.
 
В некотором смысле все, что вам нужно знать, когда вы сталкиваетесь со своими слабостями.
 
Жить по вере в Божью благодать – значит быть довольным всем, что Бог для нас в Иисусе. Поэтому вера не отступит от того, что раскрывает и возвеличивает все, что Бог для нас в Иисусе.
 
Если мы чувствуем и выглядим самодостаточными, мы получим славу, а не Христа. Итак, Христос выбирает слабые вещи мира
 
Мы можем быть довольны своей слабостью, потому что милости Господа нам достаточно. И мы можем похвастаться своей слабостью, потому что тогда сила Христа становится совершенной. Ибо когда мы слабы, тогда мы сильны.

Gottes Gnade ist ausreichend

2. Korinther 12: 9
Er aber sprach zu mir: Meine Gnade genügt dir, denn meine Kraft ist in der Schwäche vollkommen. Darum will ich mich um so mehr meiner Schwächen rühmen, damit die Kraft Christi auf mir ruht.
 
Wir leben in einer Welt, die wegen der Sünde verflucht ist. Einer der Flüche ist der Tod, und wenn Sie den Schmerz, einen geliebten Menschen sterben zu lassen, noch nicht gespürt haben, werden Sie es mit der Zeit tun.
 
Wir haben fünf Formen von Schwäche, oder ich würde sagen, Schmerzbereiche in unserem Leben
 
1. Schwächen, Unfähigkeiten
2. Beleidigungen, die Dinge, die die Verletzung beleidigen.
3. Nöte schwerwiegende, dringende Bedürfnisse
4. Verfolgungen (wie ein Tier gejagt werden)
5. Katastrophen (Druck und Stress)
 
 
Gott hat Paulus ein wunderbares Versprechen gegeben. und Gott gibt uns allen dasselbe Versprechen durch die Schrift. Dies zeigt deutlich, dass wir nicht auf ihre eigenen Ressourcen angewiesen sind, zum Beispiel auf ihre Stärke, ihre Fähigkeiten, ihre Intelligenz oder ihr Geld.
 
Wir brauchen dieses Versprechen, weil unsere eigenen Ressourcen scheitern können. Auch der Stärkste kann schnell schwach werden. Eine intelligente Person weiß möglicherweise nicht, was zu tun ist. Ein reicher Mensch kann sein Geld verlieren. Ein gesunder Mensch kann krank werden.
 
Gottes Gnade (Güte) versagt jedoch niemals. In jeder Situation befriedigt uns seine Freundlichkeit vollkommen.
 
Es gibt einen Sinn, in dem Sie alles wissen müssen, wenn Sie sich Ihren Schwächen stellen.
 
Im Glauben an Gottes Gnade zu leben bedeutet, mit allem zufrieden zu sein, was Gott für uns in Jesus ist. Deshalb wird der Glaube nicht vor dem zurückschrecken, was alles offenbart und vergrößert, was Gott für uns in Jesus ist.
 
Wenn wir uns selbstständig fühlen und so aussehen, werden wir die Herrlichkeit erlangen, nicht Christus. Christus wählt also die schwachen Dinge der Welt
 
Wir können mit unserer Schwäche zufrieden sein, weil die Gnade des Herrn für uns ausreicht. Und wir können uns unserer Schwäche rühmen, denn dann wird die Kraft Christi vollkommen. Denn wenn wir schwach sind, sind wir stark.
 
 
Als Christ sollte man sich mit Schwächen und Schwierigkeiten begnügen, denn wir haben unsere Erlösung, die ausreicht, und in diesen Augenblicken zeigen wir, dass Gott stark ist und durch uns wirkt. In der Zwischenzeit sind wir zufrieden, wenn wir wissen, dass seine Gnade für uns in Christus ausreicht, um uns eines Tages von Sünde und Tod zu befreien.
 
Deshalb müssen unsere Schwächen nicht von Gott weggenommen werden, damit wir Hoffnung und Freude haben. Wir finden, dass diese Dinge wissen, dass wir zu Gott gehören und dass Er trotz Schwächen viel durch uns erreichen kann.
 
 
Wenn wir eine richtige Beziehung zu Gott haben, wirkt seine Gnade und Güte ständig in unserem Leben. Seine Gnade wirkt sowohl in uns als auch durch uns. Es wirkt in uns, weil Christus in uns lebt. Daher liegt seine Stärke in unserem Leben, auch wenn wir selbst schwach sind. Seine Gnade wirkt auch durch uns, um anderen Menschen zu helfen. Das passiert, wenn Gott uns benutzt, um andere Menschen in eine richtige Beziehung zu ihm zu bringen.

Wenn wir schwach sind, können wir stark werden. Paulus rühmte sich seiner Schwäche, weil sie Gott mit erstaunlicher Kraft in sein Leben brachte. Paulus wurde ein leeres Gefäß und Christus lebte durch ihn und vollendete erstaunliche Dinge. Dieses große Privileg steht uns allen offen. Dies ist nur möglich, wenn wir uns entleeren, damit wir mit etwas Besserem gefüllt werden können.

Der Herr hört und antwortet seinem Volk früher oder später immer in der einen oder anderen Form, wenn auch nicht immer in der von uns gewünschten Art und Weise. aber doch so, wie es am meisten für seinen Ruhm und unser Wohl ist.
