Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. Psalm 27:14
Patient endurance as we wait for the Lord to work in the difficult circumstances of life, encourages our faith in God.
We need to confidently wait for the Lord to act on our behalf, faith is often tested in those long and painful seasons of life when patient endurance is called upon, we should submissively wait on the Lord’s promises to be fulfilled, in prayer and praise and thanksgiving. Wherever the believer is, he can find a way to the throne of grace by prayer. God’s time to help those that trust in him, is when all other helpers fail. He is a surer and better Friend than earthly parents are or can be.

The main lesson which the book of psalm 27 verse 14 is designed to convey is “Wait on the Lord”. Wait at his door with prayer; wait at his foot with humility; wait at his table with service; wait at his window with expectancy. Lately, I have become one of those people who waits until the last minute to board a moving bus. I have shared about my life in previous messages.
God has our seat assigned – He knows the route and the destination. There is a certainty – we will go. He will take us forward. He will fulfill His promises to us.
Waiting involves eager expectation, but expectation that is tempered with the understanding that God – in His time – in His way – will move – but only when it’s best to do so.
Henceforth, how firmly are we convinced that God will fulfill His promises? How strong is our faith in God? Those who are mature in their faith know that God does bring the victory and they are willing to wait for Him.
Waiting on God means expectation.

God gives us times of waiting, to prepare – to take stock of the resources He has given us. To equip ourselves – to regain our focus.
Waiting on God means that we are preparing – to be ready with what He has given us because He will fulfill His promises. He will answer our prayers.
Father in Heaven, I lay my life upon Your altar, to be dead to what the entire world would try to offer, and alive in whole hardheartedness to You. This is a time of my consecration and commitment to You alone. In Jesus name.
Amen…….
